The Europass Language Passport – a comprehensive overall picture
The Europass Language Passport provides a comprehensive picture of the language competences of each individual person. The primary focus of the support it provides is on assisting such persons to undertake self-assessment and evaluate their own knowledge of languages in important situations. It objectifies individual perception of language knowledge by means of a grid (link) which describes six different levels of competence for listening and reading skills, speaking and interactive ability and for expression in writing.
As is the case with the Europass Curriculum, individuals draw up their own content for the Europass Language Passport.
