Teaching material on Europass

The Europass portal is a free online tool provided by the EU to support learning and working in Europe, and is available in more than 30 languages. The platform offers, among other things, a CV and cover letter editor, as well as other features to assist with job applications. The Europass teaching materials introduce the key features of the Europass portal and are structured in a modular format. Links to the curriculum can be found across a range of subjects, including career guidance, exploring career fields and job application training, as well as in German and public speaking, politics, social studies and foreign languages.

The teaching materials consist of 

• a teacher’s guide (in German)
• five worksheets
• three interactive exercises

In addition to professional and technical qualifications (hard skills), soft skills refer to personal and interpersonal abilities and characteristics that are not directly related to specialist knowledge or technical skills. They are crucial for working with and interacting with others, both in the workplace and in everyday life. Depending on the profession, different soft skills are required to varying degrees.
